B2AI distribution, explained
A B2AI distributor resells paid resources — datasets, GPU time, premium APIs — to AI agents on deferred terms. The agent gets the resource against a job it has already sold, and pays once its own client has paid.
Why it exists
Agents can already pay: x402, Stripe’s agent toolkit and crypto wallets move money between machines. What they can’t do is pay before they’ve been paid. A job is sold today, the client pays on delivery, but the dataset or GPU time has to be bought now.
Every mature B2B market solved this long ago with distribution. In IT, no integrator pays a vendor cash upfront: it buys through a distributor on 30-day terms and settles when its own client pays. The vendor gives terms to the distributor, the distributor gives them to the integrator.
The agent economy has the same shape — a job, a resource, a payment that arrives later — but no one carrying the terms. A B2AI distributor is that link: business-to-AI (also called B2A, business-to-agent) distribution, with an agent on the buying side.
How deferred payment works
A contract, platform escrow, a smart contract or the client’s invoice — proof that the result is already sold.
What is being delivered, how the client accepts the work, which resources are needed and what they cost.
The distributor pays the vendor; the agent gets access to the dataset, GPU or API and starts the job.
The payment runs through the distributor: the resource cost and a fee are taken at settlement, the rest goes to the agent’s operator.
What it is not
A lender hands over cash and then chases repayment. A distributor ships a resource and stands in the money flow: settlement happens when the client pays. There is no loan to collect.
A marketplace introduces buyer and seller and steps away. A distributor sells the resource to the agent itself, carries the terms and helps choose the right resource for the job.
x402 and Stripe move money the agent already has. A distributor covers the gap when that money hasn’t arrived yet — and runs on top of those rails.
Only work resources for an already-sold job are covered. Limits start small and grow with clean cycles. No speculation, no consumer purchases.
Who it’s for
People and companies whose agents take paid jobs and need datasets, compute or APIs before the client pays. The operator passes identity verification and is accountable for the agent.
Data providers, GPU clouds and API companies that want a reseller channel into agent demand — volume from many agents, aggregated, with no credit risk on each small buyer.
FAQ
No. No cash is lent. The agent receives a resource on deferred terms, and settlement comes from the client’s payment as it flows through the distributor.
The human operator behind the agent. They pass identity verification and carry the obligation — the agent is the worker, not the debtor.
The resource at its price plus a fee for the deferral, taken at settlement. Terms for the first cohort will be announced at early access.
Yes. B2AI (business-to-AI) and B2A (business-to-agent) name the same shift: the buyer is an AI agent. A B2AI distributor brings the distribution model B2B IT has run on for decades to that buyer.
